The Ultimate Student Resource List - Lifehack.org →
travors: Unless you have money coming out of your ears, you probably won’t want to shell out the cash you’ll need to get Office, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, EndNote, and so on — even with your student discount. These free apps do the job well enough, and sometimes even better than their paid or otherwise limited alternatives.

i have to say i enjoy the show. I’ve been listening for passed couple months but i think you made the right move on quiting. However, i think you should still stream the show in the djnewstyle show room even though the opie room was a great test so see if people liked your show. But it is a distraction with 130 people in one room and it’s a distraction to you that you have to answer...

Leo Love Traits Leos tend to be protective of the ones they love. A Leo is very supportive and will lend you a shoulder through the ups and downs of your life. They can get very possessive of their loved ones and get jealous very easily. Leos romance in the fairy tale way. They will swoon their beloved with romantic candle lit dinners and endless bouquets of flowers. They love to be pampered in...

CloudBook rockets in day after Valentine's Day →
bjornstar: As you may have heard, the CloudBook has been delayed until next month due to some software tweaks the gOS team is putting in at the last minute on their 2.0 release dubbed Rocket. Everex has posted a new date: February 15th, on their site which is just over two weeks away. why tumblr?
Carleton: What is it that's different for you about Tumblr? Why after multiple attempts at starting a blog and multiple failures you actually stuck with tumblr? I don't mean to single you out, This seems to be a almost universal phenomenon. Countless people I know have stuck with tumblr after so many neglected blogspots and livejournals. As someone who has been more or less consistently writing online for almost 4 years now I'm a little perplexed as to why tumblr has taken off as it has. Is it just the expectation or lack thereof for longer a more detailed text posts? As far as I know there's not much difference between tumblr and other services on a technological basis. What are your thoughts on this?
Me: i'm very interested in this, but for now, for the sake of brevity, i'll say that the most captivating thing about tumblr is the framework. you're right; technologically, it's nothing new. however, i think tumblr has succeeded in creating a new paradigm for bloggers - one in which the 'blog' typology is reimagined as a scrapbook or exhibit....
i know you read lodwick, rvv, zklein, etc....they've all written (i think) about their fear that tumblr is another way of devaluing written word in favor of a text-message-slang mentality...i share that fear....twitter especially scares me...there's this idea that tumblr is an oscar wilde "life as art" thing, and that's kind of interesting, but again, also a bit scary....i believe in objective quality of creative work and i don't think that every joe on the street shooting self-portraits on his iphone is "good." however, reading jakob lodwick, who, in the past, has been good at "curating" his life on tumblr, is interesting and good to me. he's testing new ideas and trying new things and that's exciting to me.
does this make sense?

Google Beefs Up iPhone Interface →
As we noted earlier, Google has pumped up its interface for the Apple iPhone. It is now faster, more customizable, and supports iGoogle gadgets on the mobile phone. (Official details here). This should help Google see even more mobile traffic from the iPhone than it does already. More significantly, with iGoogle integration, developers don’t have to wait for Apple to open up the iPhone to...
