You’ll have to be patient, however, because in the background, Mercury, the planet of communication, negotiation, and commerce, will be retrograde all month, from May 7 to 30.
There is no use trying to outrun Mercury retrograde, for you began to feel the slowdowns as soon as late April. Mercury will regulate its orb in early June, so don’t jump on the end date too early, on May 31. You need to leave a few days’ space on either end of a Mercury retrograde period. You want to stay as far away from those dates as possible, from five to seven days.
Let’s look at your first big day, May 9, when you may have a big breakthrough with a home-related matter. This full moon will be unusually friendly, so you’ll find lots to cheer about at this time. You may find a new apartment or decide to call in the painters or repair men. Whatever occurs seems to delight you, as Uranus will be in friendly angle to this moon, suggesting you will get news that comes as a complete surprise, and it’s the kind of surprise you’ll like. Alternatively, you can call in the painters, fix things that have broken down at home, reorganize closets, and clean carpets, windows, and upholstery for the coming season - those are all very “Mercury retrograde” types of activities. When it comes to hiring contractors, again I will ask you to wait. Contracting is notorious about overruns to budgets, and during Mercury retrograde, changes in costs are common. If you have not hired the contractors, do so in mid-June. If you already hired them last month, then just keep a close eye on them.
Not only is your home life popping, but it appears your work life will be, too. Last month, on April 24, you hosted a new moon in your house of honors, career status, and promotion. The end of April was a superb time to open talks on an important new position, and as you move into May, you may find that you are making strides. Good positions take weeks to get, but keep talking. You won’t want to get an offer just yet, not with Mercury retrograde. There’s too much cosmic static right now, so be patient.
Saturn, the ruler of your workaday sector (sixth house) has been retrograde since December 31, 2008, so the fact that Saturn will turn direct on May 16 is news.
